Australian University Sport Championships
Established in 1993, the Australian University Games (AUG) is the flagship event on the Australian university sporting calendar. To qualify for the AUG, athletes must excel at regional (Northern, Southern, Western or Eastern) university games.
The games are held annually from September to October and attract over 7,000 student athletes hailing from 42 tertiary institutions. During the week-long Games, athletes participate in 32 sporting competitions, including Athletics, Australian Football, Basketball, Cycling, Rowing and Sailing, among others.
