Established in 1993, the Australian University Games (AUG) is the flagship event on the Australian university sporting calendar. To qualify for the AUG, athletes must excel at regional (Northern, Southern, Western or Eastern) university games.
The games are held annually from September to October and attract over 7,000 student athletes hailing from 42 tertiary institutions. During the week-long Games, athletes participate in 32 sporting competitions, including Athletics, Australian Football, Basketball, Cycling, Rowing and Sailing, among others.
The Bond University Blues Awards celebrate the sporting achievement of Bond athletes and sporting clubs and are a reflection of the organised sporting activities at Bond University. The awards recognise sporting achievement in university competitions as well as club and national level.
