Sport clubs

One of the highlights of coming to Bond is the opportunity to join one of our many sporting clubs. Bond’s sporting teams play under the Bond Bullsharks banner and are a great way to make friends and stay active. There are various options for participants ranging from our elite program to social sport.  For information on Bond’s Sport clubs visit the relevant club page or browse our Bond Sport Brochure

Bond rugby

The Bond University Rugby Club began as a partnership between Bond University and the Gold Coast Breakers Rugby Club. From these small beginnings, Bond has become one of the three Australian University rugby teams to advance to the premier competition. In addition, along with the universities of Sydney and Queensland, Bond is the only university to field an elite team. In 2014, Bond University was invited to participate in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition.

Bond swimming

The swimming program at Bond University encompasses a swimming club, a swimming squad, swimming for fitness classes, group learn to swim classes and private lessons. The Bond Swimming club is affiliated with both Swimming Queensland and Swimming Australia. Our gifted student athletes attend regional, state and national meets throughout the year.

Our 50-meter heated Olympic pool is a popular training ground for domestic and international Elite Teams, such as Swimming Australia and the French National Team.

The Swimming Club is currently seeking swimmers to represent Bond at several competitions during the 2015 season.
