One of the highlights of coming to Bond is the opportunity to join one of our many sporting clubs. Bond’s sporting teams play under the Bond Bull Sharks banner and are a great way to make friends and stay active. In March 2014, a new force entered the Queensland Premier Rugby competition with the official launch of the Bond University Rugby Club. Bond became only the third university in Australia to field a rugby team in Premier competition with the evolution of the Bond University Rugby Club from a partnership which began in 2013 between Bond University and the 17 year old Gold Coast Breakers Rugby Club.
The Bond University Rugby Club represents a partnership that blends the local heritage and experience of the Breakers Rugby Club with the University's strong sporting tradition and professional rugby alliances.
Bond University Rugby Club offers a unique pathway for aspiring and talented young rugby players to advance their careers, both on and off the field.
Bond Swimming is an affiliated club with Swimming Queensland and Swimming Australia and our athletes attend meets at regional, state and national level throughout the year.
Our 50m outdoor Olympic pool is heated year round and is a popular training venue for both domestic and visiting international Elite teams including Swimming Australia and the French National Team. Bond Swimming offers squads for State Development, National Age Group and National Open levels.

Bond University has a wide range of student sporting clubs on offer. There are opportunities to participate at a social or competitive level, and we encourage everyone to get involved.
