The biggest event on Bond University’s rugby calendar is back this Saturday at The Canal.
The club is hosting its fifth Ladies’ Day at what will be a crucial match for the Bull Sharks.
The premier grade side will be desperate to cause an upset in front of loyal supporters when they host the top of the table Wests.
DonateLife Queensland has returned as naming rights sponsor and is encouraging attendees to register as an organ donor.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to thank all the women who support the club. It’s about celebrating the women who play rugby for Bond and also the mums, sisters, friends and partners of the club,” said first grade coach Grant Anderson.
“It’s just a fantastic opportunity to show some recognition of all the hard work they do on and off the field.”
Once again players will be wearing special jerseys, but the day is about much more than pink fabric.
“DonateLife Queensland are a great charity and a great cause. We get so much support from them for our Ladies’ Day, and we reciprocate that through raising money and raising awareness around the charity and the work they do in the community,” said Anderson.
Ladies’ Day runs from 12-5pm this Saturday at the Bond University Rugby Fields.
