The BMW Australia Under 20s rugby squad has been in camp at Bond University since last week in preparation for the Oceania Rugby U20s Championship.
The team have been eating, training and sleeping here at Bond’s world class sporting facilities since 26 April ahead of their two trans-Tasman clashes with New Zealand this week.
Coach Adrian Thompson said they were looking forward to the challenge the Junior All Blacks would present.
“The squad has been working hard together since their arrival on Tuesday and I know the team is looking forward to the opportunity to play New Zealand at home,” Adrian said.
“I have been pleased with the talent on display and the attitude of the players to continue improving throughout the week.”
Bond University Rugby players Josh Taylor and Alex Mafi were both selected for the Australian squad, but unfortunately Alex won’t take to the field due to a shoulder injury.
The Australia vs New Zealand matches will take place at the Bond University rugby fields on Tuesday 3 May at 6.30pm AEST and Saturday 7 May at 4pm.
Both matches will also be live-streamed through www.rugby.com.au.
