If you’re worried about missing all the action of the 2016 Rio Olympics while you’re at Bond – fear not, as the entire Games will be screened 24/7 in several locations around campus!
You can catch all the Olympics action live at the following locations:
- Don’s Tavern
- The Brasserie
- The Sports Centre (on the huge screens on the gym floor)
- The Library foyer (24 hours a day; 7 days a week)
- The MLC (no audio, 24 hours a day; 7 days a week)
If you’re keen on following all the action in the pool – tune in to Channel 7 from Sunday 7 August through to 14 August. The heats will be broadcast from 2.00am AEST (ouch!), but the good news is the semi-finals and finals will be broadcast daily from 11.00am AEST.

Bond University Swimming Club’s Cam McEvoy will be one of Australia’s busiest swimmers at the Games, competing in the men’s 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 4 x 50m freestyle relay, 4 x 100m freestyle relay and the 4 x 200m freestyle relay.
Bond’s own ‘Madame Butterfly’ Maddie Groves will be competing in four events - the women’s 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly, 4 x 200m freestyle relay and the 4 x 100m medley relay.
