To assist the judging process, it is essential that you supply as much detail as possible and ensure the accuracy of the information provided.

The nomination period runs from October 2015 - October 2016. Students must be enrolled at the time of achievement.

Eligibility criteria

Sportsman/Sportswoman of the Year is the University's highest sporting accolade. In order to be eligible, a student must:

  • be enrolled in the current year
  • sporting results shall only be considered if they were achieved while the student was enrolled at Bond University during the past 12 months.
  • the nominee must have displayed good sportsmanship at all times whilst competing

The student must have achieved success at:

  • a national or international level of competition
  • selection in a national team or development squad

Primarily performance-based awards, students must satisfy the following criteria in order to be eligible for a University Blue.

  • enrolled in the current year
  • competed at the Australian University Games or equivalent national or international competition
  • success at national level of competition or selection in development squad

Primarily performance-based rewards, students must satisfy the following criteria in order to be eligible for a University Half-Blue.

  • enrolled in the current year
  • competed at the Australian University Games or equivalent regional or national competition
  • success at state level of competition or selection in development squad

The Sporting Silk is an award that recognises dedication to and leadership of a sporting club or team at Bond University. In order to be eligible, a student must satisfy the following:

  • enrolled in the current year
  • must be a member of at least one sporting club/team at Bond University
  • demonstrated outstanding leadership and vision towards his or her club or sport of choice

The Champion Club of the Year is awarded to the sporting club that best represents the University in all aspects of sporting life. As such, the award is given to the sporting club that has exhibited demonstrable success at external competition, membership, sponsorship and its presence on campus. Award criteria includes:

  • significant membership presence
  • reasonable success in external fixtures and/or University Games
  • the clubs engagement in and contribution to the Bond community
  • the off-field culture of the club
  • significant improvement in the club's general activities

Awarded to the student who has shown exceptional commitment to the betterment of sport at Bond. A student, in order to be eligible, must satisfy the following:

  • be enrolled in the current year
  • be a member of at least one sporting club or team
  • contributed significantly to the betterment of sport as a whole at Bond University
  • promoted Bond University Sport throughout the wider community.

The Best Sporting Moment is awarded to an individual or team who has represented Bond during the nomination period. The award is given based on a moment in play, or a result in a single game/season.
